SC STOPS PROCEEDINGS OF JUDICIAL CIMMISSION ON ADIO LEAKS |
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) stayed the proceedings of the Judicial Commission on Audio Leaks and stayed the notification issued by the federal government, ARY News reported on Friday.
A bench headed by CJP Bandial and comprising Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan, Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Shahid Waheed heard the petitions.
In its judgment, the Supreme Court stopped the proceedings of the Sound Leakage Commission and issued a notice to the parties to the proceedings.

The Supreme Court will continue hearing the motions on May 31, the written verdict read.
The notification regarding the sound leak commission issued on May 19 was also suspended by the KS.
The order read that the constitution of the inquiry commission was challenged by four petitions filed in the Supreme Court. During the hearing, the Prosecutor General raised objections to the constitution of the court in his opening arguments.
The chief prosecutor also raised objections to the inclusion of the supreme judge on the bench. The order stated that it is a constitutional requirement to obtai permission from the Chief Justice before
obtaining the services of a judge.
